After Sunset: Affinities
When a Freshblood is prepared to graduate into Acolytehood, they’re brought to their first Luna Prime ceremony - and their first exposure to the forest’s magic grants them their Affinities! Upon first exposure, any of the following Affinities can materialize in your character.

LIGHT [DOMINANT]
This affinity allows for your character to summon and manipulate bodies of condensed light energy. While this magic is comparable to the raw energy released during Luna Prime, it's known to be exceptionally brighter, and typically always takes on a golden appearance when first summoned.
With training, the Light affinity has a variety of uses.
- The ability to create a source of light bright enough to temporarily blind an enemy.
- The creation of weaponized projectiles, bullets, or disks.
- The creation of weapons and/or tools [i.e: ropes].
- The ability to manipulate condensed beams of sunlight at will.
- The ability to morph light magic/sunlight into controllable figures [i.e: light clones, giant limbs, cages or tendrils].
- The ability to summon wings [only applicable alongside the Flight affinity].
Light is compatible with the following affinities:
Light, Water, Earth, Fire, Flight, Electric, Ice, & Luck.
However, Light is incompatible with:
Dark, Metal, Poison, Air.

DARK [DOMINANT]
This affinity allows for your character to summon and manipulate bodies of condensed dark energy. Unlike the Light affinity, the Dark affinity has an appearance akin to shadows, typically taking a hazy, wisp-like appearance when summoned - always first materializing with a purple-black hue.
With training, the Dark affinity has a variety of uses.
- The ability to darken a room and stunt an enemies vision + sense of surroundings.
- The creation of weaponized projectiles, bullets, or disks.
- The creation of weapons and/or tools [i.e: ropes].
- The ability to manipulate shadows at will.
- The ability to morph dark magic/shadows into controllable figures [i.e: shadow clones, giant limbs, cages or tendrils].
- The ability to summon wings [only applicable alongside the Flight affinity].
Dark is compatible with the following affinities:
Dark, Water, Earth, Fire, Flight, Electric, Ice, Poison, Metal, & Luck.
However, Dark is incompatible with:

WATER [DOMINANT]
This affinity allows your character to summon and manipulate bodies of water. Although a minimal amount of water can be summoned manually, various bodies of water such as ponds, rivers, or even lakes can be manipulated at will with the right amount of practice.
With training, the Water affinity has a variety of uses.
- The creation of weaponized projectiles, bullets, or disks.
- The creation of weapons and/or tools [i.e: ropes].
- The ability to manipulate bodies of water at will.
- The ability to morph water into controllable figures [i.e: water clones, giant limbs, cages or tendrils].
- The ability to summon water wings [only applicable alongside the Flight affinity].
Water is compatible with the following affinities:
Water, Light, Dark, Earth, Air, Electric, Ice, Metal, Flight, Poison, & Luck.
However, Water is incompatible with:

EARTH [RECESSIVE]
This affinity allows your character to move and manipulate the earth around them. While plants can’t be manipulated with this affinity, soil, rock, and other sedimentary materials can be manipulated and morphed at will with the right amount of practice.
With training, the Earth affinity has a variety of uses.
- The creation of weaponized projectiles, bullets, or disks.
- The creation of weapons and/or tools [i.e: dirt platforms for fast travel].
- The ability to manipulate chunks of earth at will.
- The ability to create underground passageways with ease, without risk of tunnel collapse.
- The ability to morph materials into controllable figures [i.e: dirt/rock clones, giant limbs, cages or barriers].
Earth is compatible with the following affinities:
Earth, Dark, Light, Water, Fire, Air, Ice, Metal, Poison & Luck.
However, Earth is incompatible with:

FIRE [DOMINANT]
This affinity allows your character to summon and manipulate fire. Although a minimal amount of fire can be summoned manually, pre-existing bodies of fire, such as fire pits or forest fires, can be manipulated at will with the right amount of practice.
With training, the Fire affinity has a variety of uses.
- The creation of weaponized projectiles, bullets, or disks.
- The creation of weapons and/or tools [i.e: ropes].
- The ability to manipulate fire.
- The ability to raise one's body temperature drastically.
- The natural ability to survive longer in hotter temperatures.
- The ability to morph fire into controllable figures [i.e: fire clones, giant limbs, cages or barriers].
- The ability to summon fire wings [applicable only alongside the Flight affinity].
Fire is compatible with the following affinities:
Fire, Dark, Light, Earth, Air, Ice, Electric, Flight, Metal, Poison & Luck.
However, Fire is incompatible with:

AIR [RECESSIVE]
This affinity allows your character to manipulate the air around them. While it can be utilized in practical situations, such as the lengthening the duration of time one can breathe underwater, this affinity can also be used to whisk enemies around and even create vicious windstorms with the right amount of practice.
With training, the Air affinity has a variety of uses.
- The ability to lengthen one’s usual limit of breathing underwater.
- The manipulation of wind patterns.
- The ability to move bodies and/or objects around using gusts of wind.
- The ability to morph air into controllable figures [i.e: partially invisible air clones, tendrils or barriers].
Air is compatible with the following affinities:
Air, Water, Fire, Ice, Electric, Flight, Metal, Poison & Luck.
However, Air is incompatible with:

ICE [RECESSIVE]
This affinity allows your character to summon and manipulate ice & snow. Although a minimal amount of ice and/or snow can be summoned manually, those with this affinity can freeze over bodies of water or rain for their own use with the right amount of practice.
With training, the Ice affinity has a variety of uses.
- The creation of weaponized projectiles, bullets, or disks.
- The creation of weapons and/or tools [i.e: ropes].
- The ability to lower one’s body temperature drastically.
- The natural ability to survive longer in colder temperatures.
- The ability to freeze over bodies of water at will, and control them accordingly.
- The ability to morph ice into controllable figures [i.e: ice clones, giant limbs, cages or tendrils].
- The ability to create snow flurries.
Ice is compatible with the following affinities:
Ice, Dark, Light, Water, Earth, Air, Electric, Metal, Poison & Luck.
However, Ice is incompatible with:

METAL [DOMINANT]
This affinity allows your character to summon and manipulate metal. Although a minimal amount of metal can be summoned manually, naturally occurring metals in the environment, such as copper, iron, or silver, can be manipulated at will with the right amount of practice.
With training, the Metal affinity has a variety of uses.
- The creation of weaponized projectiles, bullets, or disks.
- The creation of weapons and/or tools [i.e: metal platforms for fast travel].
- The ability to manipulate naturally occurring metals in the surrounding environment.
- The ability to morph metal into controllable figures [i.e: metal clones, giant limbs or cages].
- The ability to summon liquidated metal wings [applicable only alongside the Flight affinity].
- The ability to reduce metal to a heated liquid form [applicable only alongside the Fire affinity].
Metal is compatible with the following affinities:
Metal, Dark, Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Ice, Electric, Flight, Poison & Luck.
However, Metal is incompatible with:

FLIGHT [RECESSIVE]
This affinity allows for the mastery of flight. While combination with other affinities typically determines what wings are summoned, if utilized alone, this affinity allows the user to levitate at will. Practice determines how long one can fly, and what heights they can reach.
With training, the Flight affinity has a variety of uses.
- The ability to levitate at will.
- The ability to summon wings in coordination with one’s affinity/affinities.
Flight is compatible with the following affinities:
Flight, Dark, Light, Water, Fire, Air, Poison, Metal & Luck.
However, Flight is incompatible with:

ELECTRIC [DOMINANT]
This affinity allows your character to summon and manipulate electricity. Although a minimal amount of electricity can be summoned manually, natural occurring electric currents can be manipulated at will with the right amount of practice.
With said training, the Electric affinity has a variety of uses.
- The creation of weaponized lightning bolts.
- The ability to channel electricity through bodies of water for easier conduction.
- The ability to interrupt electric currents.
- The ability to create minor electric currents for use in combat.
Electric is compatible with the following affinities:
Electric, Dark, Light, Water, Fire, Air, Ice, Metal, Poison & Luck.
However, Electric is incompatible with:

POISON [RECESSIVE]
This affinity allows your character to summon and manipulate poisonous substances. Although a minimal amount of poison can be created manually, this affinity also provides a natural immunity to various toxins should they ever be encountered by the user.
With training, the Poison affinity has a variety of uses.
- The ability to create and manipulate naturally corrosive poisons.
- Immunity to toxin exposure.
- The ability to mutate bodies of water into various liquid poisons.
- The ability to nullify the effects of any poison ingested by the user.
Poison is compatible with the following affinities:
Poison, Dark, Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Electric, Ice, Flight, Metal & Luck.
However, Poison is incompatible with:

LUCK [RECESSIVE]
This affinity grants your character an usually high amount of luck. While it never materializes physically, Luck grants extra chances to succeed in conflict, and lesser chances to encounter a bad ending during investigations.
The Luck affinity has the following uses.
- Boosted statistics and extra rolls in battle.
- Lesser chances to fail during investigations and/or quests.
- A higher chance to succeed at intended goals.
- A higher chance to befriend intended associates.
Luck is compatible with all affinities.
